Introduction & expectations

Introduction & background
Hello class, my name is Niek and I'm a 21 years old exchange student from the Netherlands. At my home university I study Digital Communication.

The social media accounts I use most at the moment are Facebook and Twitter. I also have an account on a Dutch social network that's called "Hyves". I just looked it up and it still is the biggest social media site in the Netherlands. Hyves has around 9.1 million Dutch accounts versus Facebook that has around 3.8 million Dutch accounts. But I don't know how many of the 9.1 million Dutch accounts on Hyves are active accounts.

I don't have much experiences with filming or video editing.

Expectations
I hope I can learn more about social media en social structures on the internet in this course. And of course it is good for me to get a little bit more experience with video and online publication of a video.
